Great article, thanks Mike. interesting insights. did you ever do the proposed followup article? which brokers are best for secondary market trades for VCTs?
Hi James,
Not yet, but stay tuned – it’s on the to do list for January.
Mike
Great – thanks Mike. In the meantime, any names re brokers? I have seen Singer, Matrix and Winterflood recommended, but their websites look very corporate.
In the secondary market, you don’t need to use specialists. When I was last buying and selling VCTs, I used my regular brokers which at the time were SelfTrade (when they were owned by SG) and Hargreaves Lansdown.
Next time I plan to look at the cheapest brokers (iWeb and DeGiro) plus people I have existing accounts with (like HL and YouInvest).
Let me know if there’s anyone in particular you’d like to know about and I’ll add them to the list.
